Reliance Jio Increases Prices and recharge plan 3 july 2024
Reliance Jio announced a price hike of 15% to 25% on their prepaid and postpaid plans. The new tariff plans will come into effect from July 3. Currently, a plan priced at ₹239 will be available for ₹299. The cheapest plan was ₹155, which will now be priced at ₹189.
Increase in Data Add-On Price from ₹15 to ₹19
As part of revising their monthly and long-term recharge plans, the company has also increased the prices of data add-on plans. This means that after exhausting the data limit within a plan, users will now have to pay ₹19 for 1GB of additional data, up from the previous ₹15.
Tariff Increase of 20% in December 2021
In December 2021, all telecom companies raised their tariffs by more than 20%. Previously, Jio had revised its tariffs for the first time since its launch in 2016, making adjustments in 2019 with increases ranging from 20% to 40%.

Reliance Jio Announces Hike in Prepaid Tariff Plans
India’s leading telecom company, Reliance Jio, has announced an increase in the prices of its prepaid tariff plans. The new tariff plans will come into effect from July 3. The company’s base plan, which was previously ₹155, will now be ₹189. Reliance Jio has increased the prices of 17 prepaid and 2 postpaid plans.

- Previous cost: ₹239
- New cost: ₹299
- Increase: ₹299 – ₹239 = ₹60
- Data and validity: 1.5GB per day for 28 days
- Cheapest prepaid plan (₹155 plan):
- Previous cost: ₹155
- New cost: ₹189
- Increase: ₹189 – ₹155 = ₹34
- Range of price increases:
- Jio has increased prices by ₹34 to ₹600 across its plans.
These adjustments reflect a 15% to 25% hike in the prices of Reliance Jio’s prepaid and postpaid plans, effective from July 3rd.
This plan offers 1.5GB of data per day with a validity of 28 days.
New 28-Day Plans
For Jio’s 28-day plans, users will now have to spend ₹189, ₹249, ₹299, ₹349, ₹399, and ₹449 instead of ₹155, ₹209, ₹239, ₹299, ₹349, and ₹399, respectively. The telecom company has increased the rates of recharge plans by 20% to 22%.
New 56-Day Plans
For the two-month (56 days) plans, the prices of the ₹479 and ₹533 recharge plans have been increased to ₹579 and ₹629, respectively.
New 84-Day Plans
For Jio’s three-month (84 days) plans, users will now have to spend ₹479, ₹799, ₹859, and ₹1199 instead of ₹395, ₹666, ₹719, and ₹999, respectively.
New Annual Plans
For Jio’s 336-day annual plan, users will now have to spend ₹1899 instead of ₹1559. For the 365-day plan, users will now have to spend ₹3599 instead of ₹2999.
New Data Add-On Plans
Jio has also increased the rates of its data add-on plans. Users will now have to spend ₹19, ₹29, and ₹69 for the 1GB, 2GB, and 6GB data plans, respectively, instead of ₹15, ₹25, and ₹61.
New Postpaid Plans
For postpaid users, Jio has increased the rates of its ₹299 and ₹399 plans to ₹349 and ₹449, respectively.
Airtel 4G Data Plans Recharge
Bharti Airtel has announced a 10%-21% increase in mobile tariffs. Starting July 3, 2024, the company will implement the revised rates.
The cheapest plan, which was previously ₹179, will now cost ₹199, offering 28 days of validity, unlimited calling, and 2GB data. Similarly, the ₹265 plan will be increased to ₹299, providing unlimited calling and 2GB data per day for 28 days.
